Ellie O'Driscoll started this petition to Cork County Council

The trees on the south side of the road, on the left going towards Goleen, are extremely dangerous, they are overhanging, over-balanced and leaning out over the road. Larger vehicles need to drive in the middle of the road to avoid them. The local community have to drive under them on a daily basis, as do delivery drivers, Drinagh lorries, the public bus and school buses. They are a hinderance to clear sight of the road for people turning out of the Ballyrisode road and they have no hold in what is now soaked ground after the recent bad weather. The council needs to takes immediate action to remove these trees in the abscence of a responsible landowner.

Several people have lodged their complaints concerns about the trees with the local engineers but to date nothing has been done to make them safe. Lets not leave it until there is a terrible tragedy, those trees could topple over at any minute, it's frightening to have to drive under them so please sign my petition and i will print it out and deliver it to the relevant staff in the council offices in the hope that they may take action sooner rather than later. Many thanks.
