Provide free access to HEPA filtering units to BC residents affected by wildfire smoke

Studies have shown that breathing wildfire smoke has serious implications. In fact health authorities have stated: "Poor air quality can be harmful to your health, especially for children, older adults, and those with heart and lung conditions." For people who are symptomatic, the danger is clear. For those who do not experience direct symptoms, the long term damage may be unclear. It is important to mitigate those damages.

To that end, I hereby petition that all residents have cost free access to hepa filtration units in order that they can at least have clean air during the time they sleep. These units are not expensive but there are residents who cannot afford them and residents who may choose not to use their limited funds on these units and we cannot afford to compromise our children.
