Allow those not in Respective Endorsements to continue to compete in clubs.

Next year, Coppell High School is not allowing those in clubs such as HOSA or DECA to compete unless they are in the respective endorsement pathways, such as Health Science or Business and Law. There are so many students at CHS who are not in a certain endorsement who would like to be because a) they do not have the time for an extra class, b) do not have the room for the extra class, c) want to compete specifically without the other commitments, or for other reasons.
My fellow students and I agree that students should not be limited to choosing only clubs of their endorsements. This limits a learners extracurricular potential, especially those who wish to be an active member in multiple organizations. It does not make sense that a student who chose Health Science as their endorsement can't explore multiple extracurricular activities. This limits student choice, and I believe that removing this limitation would allow for more creative students who have more opportunities in life and school.
If this petition is passed on to the CHS Administration, they can put into place the rules needed to continue to allow these students to compete. A friend of mine, for example, loves business and would like to compete in DECA but can't take the Business endorsement. There are more students than it seems like who are in the same position. It's important we give students an equal chance at everything, instead of limiting them to one thing.
