We are petitioning J.B. Pritzker to sign bill 4343. This bill would help adults ages 42+ living in Illinois who are not yet citizens to have access to basic medical care. Currently, they are denied medicare due to their citizenship status. So, conditions that need regular treatment like asthma and diabetes continue to worsen until they are in emergency situations where they are given care. This causes more deaths, costs more, and strains the Illinois workforce. To deny someone living in Illinois the right to health care is to deny another human being a basic necessity for living a healthy life. Governor Pritzker has the ability to sign this bill into action to help people living in our state and you have the power help convince him by signing this petition.
