Permanently Preserve 17,718 Acres of Public Open Space In Contra Costa County!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to preserve over 17-thousand acres of public open space in Tassajara Valley by certifying the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Tassajara Valley Agricultural Enhancement Area. The MOU ensures that smart, sustainable planning will occur in the pristine Tassajara Valley in perpetuity.
The MOU sets clear restrictions and requires collaboration between Danville, San Ramon, Contra Costa County, and the East Bay Regional Parks District. It balances the rights of property owners with the concerns of environmental activists. And the permanent preservation of these open space lands will further provide future access and enjoyment by Contra Costa residents and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the Bay Area.
Please sign this petition to encourage the Board of Supervisors to certify the MOU to preserve 17,718 acres of public open space and to set a precedent for other jurisdictions throughout California to follow.
