This needs to be shared with Garth Road residents. Big trucks and hundreds more cars daily will rumble down Garth Road due to the BGT closure. The County should open the road below the dam for local traffic, and especially for emergency vehicles.

18-24 months is way too long for this road to be closed, please figure out how to keep it open if work will take this long.

I live on this road beyond the bridge. I would have to travel almost 10 miles each way, out of my way, around crozet to get to my home. I would have to travel Garth road to Owensville rd to get to my mail box in Ivy. If we had a fire or medical emergency it would take the EMS or fire department 4 times as long to reach our farm. This is a terrible idea! There must be a better solution.

I do not believe the whole road needs to closed. It could impact travel time for 911 response.

I travel Browns Gap everyday to and from work and also have a child with a medical condition that could need the rescue squad. Going around a different route could be life-threatening. For those comments saying that this petition is dealing with right of way through private property need to be aware that this is NOT about that, there is a separate petition for that topic. This deals solely 8the closing of Browns Gap at Beaver Creek Lake. Maggy Kilroy you are thinking about the pump station.

I live and travel through western Albemarle for business. This route change will cost people a fortune in time.

I support improvements that need to be made for a highly hazardous situation. However, and recognizing I'm not someone familiar with codes and regulations, it shouldn't require a service road cutting through someone's property.

Use this road daily to get to Crozet and Charlottesville. Having it closed would be time consuming for locals (like me) who live on this road. Additionally, an issue for the kids when school bus lines start back up (poor Internet here so likely kids will be attending in person when school starts.) as it will add even more time to their already 45 minute bus ride.
