This petition will be resubmitted to the Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong, in December of 2015. We have requested a meeting, and are finalising plans for the demo in December.

During these hunts, small whales and dolphins are rounded up into shallow bays and slaughtered with knives and hand-held harpoons. The drive fishery in Japan continues due to the demand for the meat however the demand for the animals to supply marine parks far outweighs the demand for consumption. Dolphin meat is highly toxic and consumption should be avoided by all.

This killing must be stopped.

We need to let the Japanese Minister know that we cannot and will not tolerate the slaughter or capture of these sentient beings any longer.

There is no justice, justification for such brutality. It is highly distressing to see the methods and abuse which can be observed , furthermore, it is barbaric murderous insanity, which is neither endearing, educational or even ethically correct.

The message is positive:

Japan, let the dolphins live and be free!

Letter to
Japan Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong Mr.Kuninori Matsuda
Kazutaka Sangen
We the undersigned members of the community respectfully request you to put an end to the brutal treatment and unsustainable slaughter of dolphins in the Japanese drive fisheries.

We urge you to take action in stopping the inhumane treatment and killing of these highly sentient mammals.
We strongly believe that the sourcing of animals from this fishery for any purposes including human consumption, fertiliser and live public display, is unethical. Dolphins and whales belong in their natural habitat and can be observed this way as an alternative way of generating income. (dolphin watching tour trips)

We ask that you urge the Japanese government to revoke permits that allow Japan's Fisheries Agency to continue this barbaric, irrational and inhumane practice.
Japan, Please Let the dolphins live and enjoy their basic right to freedom.
Your immediate action is needed.
Please STOP the annual Taiji slaughter or cetaceans.
