The Federal Government of either Persuasion are planning to create a Federal  Independent Commission Against Corruption(ICAC) or an Integrity Commission Against Corruption with bipartisan support.

I believe it is time for the Australian Government to provide a Federal ICAC with Constitutional protection that makes all citizens accountable, including Politicians & Senators. Public consultation is essential to show transparency and improve trust to the Federal Government process creating a Federal ICAC. 

The current Federal Government under the direction of the Attorney General are creating a version of a Federal ICAC that would be restricted from public view, The public would have no idea of investigations or prosecutions. This is not what the Australian citizens expect and l believe by keeping the process from public scrutiny deminishes the perception of being an independent commission.
