Console like business practices for PC VR is not good for VR

Within a short space of time Virtual Reality for the PC market has grown into a good size community and is growing everyday, the main two forces leading the way in terms of storefronts is Steam and Oculus.
Steam is more of an open storefront where all PC based VR systems have access and Oculus Home is locked to the Oculus VR system only.
A program called revive does allow other VR systems access to Oculus Home, but it's an unofficial program and not supported by Oculus, so there is no guarantee it will always work.
So what we are petitioning is to let Oculus know that; dividing a small growing market is not good for VR and we disagree with locking out other VR systems from your store which, in turn, locks your existing customers into your platform thus making a console-like environment in the PC VR space.
