The release of Tamara Lich.

The release of Tamara Lich.
I am starting a petition for the release of Tamara Lich. She is a victim of our government. She was targeted based on the fact that she organized, what she thought, would be a small backing in terms of donations and support. What she didn't know, was that she would start a movement that would encompass the world. That she would gain an enormous amount of support financially and that she would awaken a crowd, afraid to stand up, to speak openly and stand up for the rights and freedoms that they truly believe in.
Today, she has been denied bail and is incarcerated, potentially facing up to 10 years for "counselling to commit mischief". She did not commit a crime so vicious that actual criminals deserve less time than she. She simply felt the way a lot of people were feeling...trapped and controlled by a government not willing to listen.
Our government invoked the Emergency act and observed an overwhelming amount of power. Within that contains the ability to freeze financial accounts and seize personal property. Tamara has fallen victim to this act.
I have listened to one of the accountants that she sought advice from on her journey - https://open.spotify.com/episode/1ZnVCN8bMGgE1rn4rxBDkF This testimony goes to show that she had no intention to lead all decisions and that she wanted to make sure that the donations were properly allocated. Banks refused to open a non profit account because they were worried about the controversy. They released 1 million into her personal account, against her wishes and immediately froze the account.
She had everything in place that she needed to have to make things legal. She made sure to express that this was to be a legal, peaceful protest. She does not have total control over others choices but she ultimately accepted the consequences. This is not ok and should not be allowed in our country. Now, she faces a lengthy sentence for standing up for what she believed in, not realizing that so many others felt the same way.
We need to acknowledge that she encouraged others to speak out, but that she never has had the ability to control the choices of others. Therefore, she should not be denied bail and she should not be facing the maximum sentence, if any.
Please, support our goal to release Tamara Lich.
