Nigel Coxon started this petition to Conservative party and

In 2016 the British public voted to leave the EU. Those who voted leave have been betrayed by recent events in Parliament attempting to block a so called "No Deal" exit reinforce the false claims that leave voters were uninformed at best, stupid at worst and did not understand what they were voting for; in particular that they were misled about its likelihood.

I voted knowing that No Deal was the most likely option. That the EU were unlikely to offer anything advantageous to the UK as it was not in their interests to see us succeed without them. The government pamphlet at the time was perfectly clear about that on page 8, "What happens if we leave?" .

If parliamentary actions result in legislation that prevent a "No Deal" exit from the UK, then it weakens the UK position in negotiations. Ultimately it could result in us, being forced to remain in the EU,  overturning the desire of the majority who voted in 2016.

The Remain campaign asked for a second referendum, claiming that the government had no mandate to support a No Deal exit. They now seem happy to let current processes result in its entirely undemocratic removal from further discussion.

In 2016 you made your voice heard. Now your own representatives in Parliament wish to silence you. Do not let them. Sign this petition to keep No Deal as an option to leave the EU.
