This petition is regarding the Conroe High female students. I'm Nathaliyah Ponce and I have been wanting to join the Football team for a while now, but it's not only me. Elayne Cisneros, Abigail Jackson, and other females want to try out for the team also. There is an all-boys Volleyball team, but why can't girls have a Football team to themselves when Football is more aggressive?

I and a few other people as in Abigail Handy, Caitlyn Galetka, Elayne Cisneros, etc. are planning on making a change starting with the district and working our way up the scale. If we get the chance to have an all-female Football team, then it is a way to spread more positivity that girls can play "masculine" sports and make a change in society's eyes. If we do not get the opportunity, then we will try again and find out how to make our dream come true.

I care so much about this petition because when I was younger, I remember me and my dad were watching Football on the couch while eating hot wings and pizza. I said something along the lines of, "one day, I want to do that," with a huge grin on my face. It didn't last long because my dad later said, "it's a boys game. It's not ladylike for females to play." Ever since then, I wanted to prove my dad wrong and prove that it's not a boy's game, but a game for everyone.
