We the people of Orlando, FL respectfully request the installation of a historically painted, mural crosswalk in some African American communities. Crosswalk painting is becoming a national trend across America. The rainbow painted crosswalk memorial in Orlando honoring the pulse victims and their families represents the perfect example of pride, creativity, respect and culture. We the people of Orlando would like to memorialize African American history through crosswalk art. Starting at the intersection of South Street and Division Avenue. It is only fitting that we pay respect to African American influence in our city beautiful. The South Street Casino was once the entertainment center for talent, visitors, and our residents in the Parramore District. In walking distance is the Amway Center home of the Orlando Magics. Thousands of travelers and citizens can explore, learn, and respectfully appreciate Orlando and our progressive works.
