Revoke the current status of Matthew Shultz until which time as all parole board and victims rights recommendations have been addressed and followed.

As of Jan 15,2015 Matthew Shultz walked out of CTDOC custody a free man, having to only go to a halfway house.
Mr.Shultz was convicted of the 1994 brutal murder of George Jacques Sr.
First the state failed the victims family when the original 32 year sentence was shortened due to new laws. Now they are failing them again. The CTDOC decided that since Mr.Shultz was a "model inmate"
he should be released without any of the parole board recommendations or sanctions in place.
Due to the nature and severity of Mr.Shultz's crimes it is in the best interest of the victims family and the public at large, if all of the original recommendations set forth by the parole board and victims rights board are followed.
Taking into account that Mr.Shultz was considered a "model prisoner" does not diminish the facts of the heinous crimes which put him behind bars in the first place. He committed the cold blooded, premeditated and extremely violent murder of a 52yo father/husband.
He robbed a family of their daddy, a wife of her husband and best friend, and grandchildren of their grand-daddy.
We urge the state to re-evaluate, their release policy per the CTDOC and the DOC ability to override the parole boards recommendations.
We urge all of you to sign this petition, because this man could be your neighbour.......or living near your child's school. Who knows if or when he may harm someone again.
