Keith Greenidge Jr started this petition to Single Mothers and

Too often, "single fathers" are void of support and resources (i.e. housing, family shelter, food, government assistance, support groups, career assistance, etc.) that are commonly available to "single mothers" at large and, in every state. You may remember the story of "Joseph Cantu" (a "single father" of five in Michigan state)... There are two great movies ("Pursuit of Happiness" starring Will Smith & "Daddy's Little Girls" starring Idris Elba & Gabrielle Union) narrating in depth with regard to this growing epidemic. I, myself, am a "single father" of three beautiful girls and as a result, for the past thirteen years, I've been subjected to a great deal of bias and discrimination. Others, like myself and from all walks of life have suffered the same experiences (i.e., homelessness, inability to prolong employment, losing custody via charges of "neglect & instability", inability to effectively register children in school despite legal documentation, family shelters unavailable to "men with children", support for men having suffered "domestic violence", etc.) and would like to see a change of both fairness & equality. Please help with your signature to petition for change that will not only help to provide support for "single fathers" who are struggling but, more importantly, the children involved who are placed under circumstances beyond their control. Often, these children become wards of the state or placed in "at risk" situations threatening their livelihood...
