"Do you have reliable transportation?" A question that is often asked during job interviews. Although it isn't an illegal question, many employers do not consider any form of transportation aside from a vehicle "reliable" and won't hire you. In this day and age with expanded public transit bills(such as my state of Indiana), uber, lyft, and many other forms of transportation one wouldn't think this would be an issue. Sadly, many Americans who aren't in major cities such as NYC experience this road block while seeking employment. I have been a victim of this several times over the years with the same excuse of concern about attendance issues. After doing some research, it has been determined that people board public transportation 35 Million times a day and bicycle commuters are rapidly increasing. Let's come together to protect are citizens seeking employment that are being ruled out simply because of the way they choose to commute.
