The presidential candidates are chosen by the electoral college with no laws governing how they are to vote. They are nominated by committees that don’t take into account our choice. The get on the ballot by paying and submitting a few worksheets. All this equates to rich senior citizens buying there way into contention for US president, while being completely out of touch with society today. Most of the candidates, male and female, have made a career out of being politicians and have no idea what life is like for everyone else, let alone people who grew up working to provide the life they want. This also isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue, it’s an election loophole issue that makes people who believe they are entitled to govern our country because of a lifetime building wealth in a position that we pay for with our taxes. The president nor any of the current candidates understand what’s is like to work and live outside of the protection of the federal government or billions of dollars used to live outside normal life in this country. We need to elect leaders that are like minded with our wants and needs at heart. Let’s not let people who registered to vote for the first time 3 generations before us make lasting changes they won’t live to have to deal with.
