United States should formally recognize Uyghurstan as an occupied country
Why this petition matters
The people of Uyghurstan declared independence twice as the East Turkistan Republic (1933 -1934 and 1944-1949) in the 20th Century, in 1949 overthrown by the People’s Republic of China. At the time of Chinese occupation, East Turkistan possessed all the attributes of statehood under international law, including a defined territory, military and population, an independent government, and the ability to conduct domestic affairs and independent international relations.
Therefore, we demand United States should formally recognize Uyghurstan as an occupied independent COUNTRY. Also, at the same time we demand The United States should formally labeling China’s brutal repression of Uighurs a “genocide,”
Sincerely,
Uyghurstan Republic /Uyghurstan Republican Party & East Turkistan/Uyghurstan Independence Org.
