Truck drivers across America are hit with outrageous amounts of fines everyday for things that are out of their control. My husband is a truck driver and is away from our family alot sacrificing himself to provid for us and on a daily basis he and millions of other truckers across America are fined for things that are not in their control. Truckers are fined for things like their load being to heavy which is completely unfair because they don't load the truck. A truckers job is only to drive it from point A to point B securely and safely. The law should hold the company that loads the truck accountable for overweight loads and fine the companies instead of the drivers who are just trying to provide for there families and have no way to truly telling if a company has over loaded their trailer until reaching a weight station and being fined. All a trucker can do is ask in the moment how much does the load weigh there is no way possible for a trucker to know as soon as they are fully loaded whether or not the company is lying and have overloaded their trailer. So why fine a trucker for something that is completey unfair and not their fault in the first place? Lets hold the companys accountable and send them the fines when an officer at a weight station realizes a load is overweight. Companys that transport goods through trucks make millions and truckers who sacrifice their time away from families for the greater good are being fined hundereds of dollars every other day or they face liscence suspention for non payment.
