Corporations do not have a vote, they do not participate as citizens, they don't have children, they don't get married, they don't get an education, & the don't go to war. We cannot have corporations buy elections & dilute American democracy by flooding campaigns with funds that skew democracy.

We cannot have another election that is determined by campaigns that are driven by money. Elections should be about the issues, not the bank accounts.

For a variety of reasons one being that my own family members are swayed by lies promulgated by these corporate overlords. Most people don't have the time or patience required to learn the details of politics.

Giant corporations had too much influence over politics before the Citizens United decision. This decision takes the legal fiction of the corporation as a person to a ridiculous extreme by assigning to it rights that were intended for real people, not for corporations. The result is a fund raising balance that is off the charts in favor of wealthy entities, an imbalance that is particularly toxic at state and local levels where candidates normally have very limited fund raising capability. The selection of our leaders should not be done at the whim of a handful of super rich and powerful entities. Wasn’t this what our founding fathers rebelled against in 1776?

This is the single worst threat that American democracy faces today.
