Nurses have been on the front lines of COVID for the last 2 years, we have put our patients before us and even before our families. We have worked in unsafe environment with unsafe nurse to patient ratios, we have worked with little supplies with even less staff. We have been labeled as hero’s for the last 2 years because of our selfishness and our bravery to fight an illness we knew little about. Travel nursing is the new union for nurses, we decide our pay, we decide our environment and we love what we do, now Congress is attempting to cap our pay to increase incorporations profit. Congress is NOT concerned with providing us safe nurse to patient ratios, or PPE when we needed it the most. Congress cares about greed, and has turned healthcare into a business instead of CARE.
