According to Republican Senator Mitt Romney, “What happened [in the Capitol yesterday] was an insurrection, incited by the president of the United States.... Those who choose to continue to support his dangerous gambit by objecting to the results of a legitimate, democratic election will forever be seen as being complicit in an unprecedented attack against our democracy.” Even after the violent mob beached the capitol President Trump did not send the national guard to defend Congress; Vice President Pence had to step in and do that duty for him.

We cannot have one more day of President Trump in the seat of power of our government after he incited an attack on the duly elected Congress to prevent them from doing their constitutional duty of certifying the votes of the Electoral College. Congress must impeach and convict President Trump and remove him from office immediately. We can not risk one more dangerous day with an unstable and corrupt leader at the helm of our republic.
