On Monday November 29th, 4 children were viciously murdered at Oxford, High School, shot point blank by Ethan Crumbley. He killed them with a semi automatic hand gun his father had bought for Black Friday. This marks the 28th shooting we’ve had in America JUST this year. A change NEEDS to be incited now, before more bloodshed is caused in our public schools. How many more of these mass shootings will we tolerate as a country. It’s time to wake up, and realize we’re not living in 1776 anymore, America needs safer gun laws. Signing this petition will help get the message across to congress that we need exceedingly better screenings before selling an individual a gun. I would also like to make it mandatory every gun owner also purchase a gun safe. The gun used in the Oxford shooting was easily available to the shooter in his household, a safe could have prevented that. I’d also like to make mandatory mental health screenings (Taken by the whole family), for individuals trying to buy a firearm with children in the household. We also need 3 trained armed personal in EVERY public school in America, preventing a shooter from seeing the halls of the school as target practice. School shootings have viciously affected our youths mental health. Why have children felt unsafe since 1999 (Columbine), and we have failed to do NOTHING about it? The silence has been deafening. Please help me make public school a safe and comfortable place for the Children of America, and sign this petition. Don’t let them die in vain, make a change now.
