Pass a bill requiring child neglect prevention classes
Child neglect is a growing problem in America. According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2006 an estimate of 905,000 children had been neglected. The main goal is to propose mandatory prevention classes to new parents and or guardians to make them well aware on how to prevent child neglect. It has been proven that parents and guardians that were properly informed and given support on how to prevent child neglect were less likely to neglect their children than those who had no support or knowledge.
