My 26 year old son has been suffering with schizophrenia and substance abuse for 8 years ,he has been denied services in the county where we live with no explanations,even though he meets the criteria for these services. Our local emergency psychiatric emergency room has told me several times how sick my son is and that he needs long term in patient care. My son was in psychotic state and damaged there property they had him arrested  two separate occasions. I'm getting no answers and no help .I'm fearful for his life with the right treatment and intervention my son could live a normal life. I feel that when someone like my son with a severe mental illness and is full blown psychotic not thinking clearly hearing voices thinking he is someone else and prone to self harm that the system, the Drs treating should first do no harm that's the oath they take! An individual without rational logical thinking should be helped and get the treatment and services they need whether they want it or not.Remember I'm talking about someone in psychosis. Instead I've heard just wait for next crisis or bad thing to happen??!!! How does that even make sense?? Shouldnt "we" the providers ,agencies, doctors , law enforcement,  be preventing that? Please sign for mental health reform .I love my son with all my heart .Thank you
