Halloween is a sacred day for many people in the United States and worldwide, not for just a fun a day that has been a tradition for many many years, but also a holiday for the people of Gaelic heritage which would include Irish, Scottish, and some English. It is also traditional for Catholic and Christian people as well as people who just want to have fun.

Some people want to move Halloween to the last Saturday of the month thinking that it is safer for children. I've even seen comments such as "Halloween is for kids, let them stay out longer." Both of these examples are horrible reasons. People typically party on the weekends before and after Halloween. You are more likely to find more drunk people out at night on Saturday plus these people think the kids should be out later. If you worried about your child on Halloween then trick-or-treat with them.

Keeping Halloween on the 31st of October is the best and safest idea. Pass this around. Boycott companies like Snickers/Marrs who want to move it.
