Our planet is in dire need of change. We've been abusing it for too long, and in mere years, the damage will be irreversible. It is beyond instrumental that countries (namely the United States of America) implement measures to prevent the inhabitability of Earth. Indifference is not remaining neutral, it's condoning the desecration of our home.

I was born into a generation lucky enough to realize that change is not only wanted, but needed, and I know that if we come together, we can achieve what we so desire. Among the various solutions for this issue are widespread solar panel use. These panels combined with scaled-back use of electricity and effort that I know we can put in could be enough to save our lives. I know it won't be easy, but if we intend to live any longer as a species, we need to work hard and do this.

When it comes to the horrors we've seen, be it the fires in the Amazon or Australia, or the melting of our polar ice caps, these are but the tips of the proverbial icebergs. These events should be opening the eyes of lawmakers, but they seem ever persistent on changing nothing. If enough of us join together, we can achieve change, and we can save our planet. I know that if we make it clear how much we love our planet, we will prevail.
