we want to help to educate people about the mistreatment of the indigenous peoples in North America. we also want to find ways to repair the damage we have already done to their culture, population, and religion. we want to raise awareness of the fact that on reservations, suicide, mental illness, and many other problems are at much higher rates than they are in other parts of America. by signing this petition, you would be protesting the injustice these people face and would be helping to bring awareness to this topic. I care about this topic because even though I am not an indigenous person, I know that until everyone is equal, no one is equal. that is why I care about this topic. if we don't make a change, then the situation will just get worse and we won't be able to solve it easily and it may not be signed at all.
