If they have nothing to hide, they have nothing to fear.

It is incredible that in less than 24 hours, this petition has over 1000 signatures. I would never have thought it would have gotten this large. For some, 1000 names may not sound like a lot compared to the other petitions on this platform, but to me, it is rather humbling. The call for police reform is a complicated issue, and while there is never going to be a perfect solution, something is better than nothing. Today every one of you validated that at least this idea has some merit, and I think its time it deserves more debate. Therefore I humbly ask that every one of you share this petition with your friends, family, and colleagues. If you genuinely believe in this, please share it and contact your representative if you do not know how the link below will help you. https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative/ Call, email, fax, or even write a letter (old school I know). Tell your representative that you think this idea deserves a broader discussion. The time has come for us to come together and demand change, however small, however minuscule in the end the important thing is that today we act so tomorrow we can learn. When I created this petition, I never thought we would get this many people. I honestly do not know how long this momentum will last or how large this petition will get. Regardless of what becomes of this petition, know this that I will forever be grateful and ever humbled by your choice to support it. Let's bring out the best in all of us and see where this petition leads us. Yours truly,Jason
