SUCCESS: Bump stocks now banned in the U.S.!

In response to public advocacy and pressure (including your signature on this petition), the White House has announced a ban on rapid-firing bump stocks.

Bump stock devices make it easier to fire rounds from a semi-automatic gun, triggering a continuous firing cycle similar to machine guns, which are also banned within the United States. Last year, these devices were used to commit the mass shooting in Las Vegas, where 58 people were killed and over 800 were injured in the span of a few minutes.

This ban, proclaimed by executive order from President Trump, gives gun owners until March 2019 to turn in or destroy their bump stock devices. This is a huge step in the right direction to guarantee safety and to save lives, and would not have been possible without your support.
