The constitution gives the Federal government the ability to control elections of Senators and Representatives. The government should assume this responsibility to ensure fair elections that are monitored by impartial parties. State control of elections results in partisan control. The party in control of a state can suppress voting in certain areas by providing inadequate facilities, limiting the ability to vote early, and by requiring additional identification. They can slow down the process of voting in some areas so voters will give up because of long waits. We need to fix election system.
