Petition to save Confederate Soldier Monument

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

In May of 1904 a Confederate Monument was erected in Fairview Cemetery.

"Erected in Fairview Cemetery, Liberty, Missouri, the monument stands in memory and honor to the over 200 Confederate Army veterans of Clay County, Missouri, whom gave their lives during the Civil War."

The statue atop has been watching over those confederate soldiers who lie in Fairview Cemetery.  There is a petition to remove this long standing monument.  We are asking to make our voices known for those who want to save it.  A piece of Liberty History, a visible reminder for the harshness of War and slavery.  May we mend fences that have been torn down.  Save the soldier...
