The lack of cafeteria tables and having awkward desks instead take up space in the Conestoga High School Cafeteria ultimately takes away from the dining experience. Everyday, students have to sit lengths apart in desks in order to socialize with each other instead of sitting side by side and conversating with one another. These desks also give students much less space for their materials and lunch to be eaten. Understandably so, covid is an ongoing rampant problem that the administration is doing their best to tackle. However, these desks do not contribute to the human space needed to maintain safe distance, due to the fact that students will organize with each-other anyway and have their masks down. Due to the cold weather we’re experiencing, students have to eat inside and they’re struggling to find a place to eat that’s not an awkward length apart. Students like myself often avoid sitting at the desks purely because the desks do not satisfy the socialization students endure during lunch. It would be in the majority’s best interest to just have the tables instead of the desks. #Bringtablesback
