Conduct an urgent review into the Community Mental Health Services in Medway
Why this petition matters

There are currently no provisions for the diagnosis and treatment of Bipolar, PTSD and personality disorders in Medway. These mental health conditions can be severely debilitating and sometimes lead to problems such as substance abuse, homelessness and suicide. Patients with these conditions are usually referred onto either Medway Talking Therapies, who deem them 'too complex' for treatment, or Britton House, who consider them 'not severe enough' for treatment. These are the only mental health services that are available to people in Medway, which leaves many of us falling into a grey area, unable to access help.
It is time to end the stigma and give mental health patients in Medway the proper care and treatment we deserve.
We are calling upon the NHS, the Quality Care Commission and our local MP Kelly Tollhurst to work together to tackle this issue, and conduct an urgent review into the Community Mental Health Services in Medway, so that additional services can be made available to Medway residents who are currently being refused treatment.
