We, the signatories to this appeal, hereby condemn in the strongest
possible terms the recent bombings and suicide attacks on unarmed and
peaceful Christian citizens in Sri Lanka. We do not justify this act in
any way and for whatever cause or reason this was carried out. No
religion or law justifies such acts even in the name of revenge or
justice and neither does Islam or Muslims believe and condone them. We
declare that such acts, cannot and are not committed in the name of
Islam, a religion of peace. Whosoever planned and committed them are
not from us and they should not be allowed to use the name of Islam or
Muslims. We shall not let them use our name in any way.  This appeal is
addressed to all news media to refrain from allowing heretics and
fanatics to use any platform which is linked to the name of Muslims
anywhere in the world and claiming responsibility for this. We do not
recognize the right of any such body to represent the Muslims of the
world. We also urge the heads of states of all Islamic countries and
Muslim majority countries to disassociate themselves from these
inhuman and deranged people and condemn them in the strongest possible
terms. We deeply mourn the loss of innocent human lives lost in this
madness and stand shoulder to shoulder with the victims and their
dependents.

(this appeal is made by common Muslims from around the world and is
not related to any religious, political, ethnic or state-sponsored
elements)
