Concerned Citizens started this petition to Concerned citizens of Chicago

On November 13th, 2018, City Council approved the allocation of $4.25 million dollars from tax-increment finance (TIF) for Paseo Boricua Arts Building. A project like many others in the 26th ward that didn't seek community input but have Ald. Maldonado support. Community by definition concern a large number of people and should not cater to just a few.

Ald. Maldonado oppressive relationship with the community has been meaningless in the 10 years his being in office. An alderman who was appointed and then elected by constituents in the 26th ward.

Concerned constituents in the 26th ward demand that City Council postpone voting in this and other projects until Ald. Maldonado's addresses the community in a townhall meeting and seek community input.

This project is set for final approval on January 23rd. Lets act quick! We encouraged constituents from the 26th ward to sign this petition. All others are encouraged to sign as supporters and concerned citizens in the City of Chicago. If you would like to be part of the decision making in your community please sign this petition and tell city council to postpone their vote.
