Cabs, taxis, Ola, Uber, privately owned but yellow number plated cars, et should no more be the base model of the car. Air bags should be compulsory feature for a car that would be used for passenger travel. How was this basic yet important feature not taken seriously?

These cars earn because of passengers travelling in them. The safety and comfort of those passengers is the responsibility of the car owner/driver. Why are we taking this so lightly when there are lakhs of such cars on the road? They can definitely afford to recover this cost over the long run that these cars are used for. I feel not hust air bags, but a public use car should always be top end model. When people are paying to use it, this will be affordable.

When tourists visit India, we subject them to such basic cars like Swift and Etios, which lack even these other basic features:

1. Fire extinguishers
2. Wifi Internet
3. Bottled water
4. Cleanliness
