i hope scubashooters does more than just agree with the issue. real action needs to be taken in these competitions so those of us that shoot fairly and responsible get an equal chance.

Since I work as a dive instructor I see this shit on a daily basis. I will always tell divers off who do it and enforce good behaviour, but things won't change until pictures that have been staged by prodding, poking, holding, breaking etc are stopped being praised. I for one think they're horrible for what they are.

We are visitors in their world, and we should respect their home. If you don't get the shot, then there is always next time. Don't stress the creature or hurt the environment.

...as divers we should not be touching anything underwater....!!! We should have respect....touching any living thing underwater could cause damage or stress or at worst kill the very creatures we dive to look at!
