Stop construction of The Alcove at Kendall

Please say no to more congestion and construction in our neighborhood. Go to the meeting on April 25 at 7:00 pm at the Kendall Village Center, 8625 SW 124 ave. We live in a nice neighborhood zoned for single family homes and Mr. and Mrs Mendez are seeking to change this by seeking a variance to have their 1/2 acre lot permitted to build muli-family units. This would allow the construction of 5 townhomes in an area where for over 30 years, there has only been single family units. This would lower our home values and increase an already congested traffic area must worst of all , it would clear the way for other land owners in our area to build similar projects in the future. Traffic on SW 122 ave is congested. Many people are already using SW 120 ave to cut through our neighborhood to avoid traffic. Additional homes on SW 120th ave would only increase traffic even more. This is a danger to the children who play in our neighborhood. The lot should remain zoned as it currently is and the variances the land owners are seeking should be denied. These landowners have hired a very powerful law firm to seek these changes, and trick our neighbors to not show up to meetings and drag this for as their lawyer said "the next 50 years." Let's stop this now and not keep wasting our neighbor's time.
