Community Support For Boysen Mutembwa - Humanitarian And Compassionate Consideration
Why this petition matters

This letter is to show the community support for Boysen Tadiwa Junior Mutembwa. We have been informed that there is a possibility of Boysen not being allowed to stay in Canada permanently and that there is a possibility of him being removed from Canada. We want to show Immigration Canada that removing him from Canada and separating him from the life he has built here would be very difficult for him, his family, his friends, and our community.
We want to persuade Immigration Canada to consider granting Boysen permanent residence based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.
Boysen was born and brought up in Zimbabwe. He arrived in Canada in 2016 as an international student. Boysen arrived in Canada on a study permit. We know that due to extenuating circumstances, Boysen had to take a year off from his studies and which is why he is facing conditions that cause him to be removed from Canada. For few it may seem like a short span of time but for Boysen, after spending over six years here, Canada has become his true and only home. It would be immensely hard for him to be forced to leave his aspirations and unfulfilled potential here and go back to Zimbabwe.
Boysen has also contributed immensely to the Canadian system through his work. His establishments extend their reach through his friends and community in Canada. Boysen has been respectful of the laws and immigration requirements from the get-go and is respectful of the processes and procedures of our country. As well, he has been a model resident and has become an irreplaceable member of our community.
Boysen has spent a considerable part of his adult life in Canada. It goes without saying that, after dedicating more than 6 years towards establishing himself here, Canada has become his true home. His recent establishments, accomplishments have been here. If he were forced to leave Canada, it would cause him painstaking efforts to establish himself in Zimbabwe. Furthermore, the education and work experience that Boysen has obtained in the past few years may go unutilized in Zimbabwe and he would have to start his professional life from scratch. Boysen is a young and bright individual who in his time has become established in the community and who has already demonstrated the potential to becoming great asset to the Canadian community. Boysen aspires to be a permanent and contributing part of our Canadian society.
We, as a community, are well-aware of the adverse circumstances that his home country faces and one that he, surely, would be subject to if forced to leave Canada. As a community, and as his supporters for a better life, we request permanent residency for Boysen.
In his time here, Boysen has fallen in love with our country and has become accustomed to our way of life here. If forced to return to Zimbabwe, it will be excruciatingly difficult for him to find a job without a connection or knowing someone who can get him gainful employment in the area of his passion and expertise. The prospects and potential of this young and bright individual would be limited, if not completely taken out of the picture, if he were forced to go to Zimbabwe. Our country needs people who are skilled and not just cherish being a part of our community but also believe in giving back to the community. Please allow him to stay back to nurture and establish himself in Canada, more than he already has. Boysen is a prime example of what Canada stands for, a rich cultural diversity. He makes friends wherever he goes and knows the importance of community involvement. His absence would be felt greatly throughout the community, and we would be worse off, as a societal group, if he were forced to leave. We are asking that he please be allowed to stay where he belongs, to be able to continue working towards building his future in Canada, a place that he already calls home. We, as a community, support his aspirations for this individual and request for permanent residency status for him.
As a community, we support Boysen’s application for permanent residency based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Please allow him to stay in Canada, a place that he already treats as home. Every person undersigned here joins in this request.
