SUPPORT FOR THE EQUESTRIAN ESTATES PROJECT – IS SUPPORT TO KEEP THE THOMAS SCHOOL OF HORSEMANSHIP OPEN!

The Thomas School of Horsemanship has been serving the Town of Huntington and Long Island communities for more than 75 years. Equestrian Estates is proposing a project which would preserve the open green space along Round Swamp Road for the continued beauty and care of horses, maintain the Thomas School programs through an upgraded equestrian facility, and create luxury single-family homes – The Equestrian Estates!

With the full support of Nancy Thomas, previous owner and daughter of the founders, Bill and Fran Thomas, Equestrian Estates is committed to continuing the Thomas School programs with her staff!

Please sign the petition below to support the project which will continue the legacy of the Thomas School of Horsemanship in an upgraded and sustainable manner. Thank you so much!

A statement in support from Nancy Thomas:

I am pleased to support the Equestrian Estates project - an initiative that will maintain horses, open space and Thomas School programs for the benefit of children, equestrians and the surrounding community.

I am excited by the proposed upgrades to the equestrian facility in connection with the project which includes a new indoor arena, upgraded horse barns and preservation of the horse pastures along Round Swamp Road.  But most importantly, the legacy of Thomas School through its programs will continue.

I understand that there is an alternate petition circulating to “Stop the rezoning of 250 Round Swamp Rd.”   I know that well-meaning Thomas School clients, alumni and neighbors signed it.  To be clear, I do not support that petition.  It is my understanding that the “Stop” petition was started by an individual without the consent or backing of the Sweet Hollow Civic Association Board.

To the neighboring community, I thank you for your support of Thomas School over the years.  I know that you care as much as I do about keeping the beauty of horses and green open space on the property.  The Equestrian Estates project accomplishes this, and more

Support for the Equestrian Estates project IS support for keeping Thomas School of Horsemanship open and sustainable.  Please join me in preserving Thomas School’s mission and legacy by signing this petition.

Thank you,
Nancy Thomas
