On or about 4pm Thursday December 30th, 2021 , Newark Police Officer DeKampos is on video as he arrived and assaulted Sean Vines Daeshawn Vines and Halim Butler at a traffic stop between 515 and 505 Elizabeth Avenue. 

There were several officers who witnessed DeKampos assault the citizens as well as hundreds of youth, adults , senior citizen community members as well as many who watched from passing vehicles. In addition, Hundreds of tenants from the four residential buildings between Elizabeth Avenue and Custer Avenue intersection to Elizabeth  Avenue and Renner Avenue watched from their windows.

As a result of this terrible situation, Vines, Butler and Vines was released from custody after 18 hours the following day, December 31, 2021, New Years Eve, by Newark City Officials.  Officer DeKampos needs to be relieved immediately of his duties after violating the human rights by using excessive force on three innocent African American civilians, disturbing public peace and attempting to create/obtain a false police report to arrest innocent civilians.

Justice needs to bet served. Imagine how many African American men in Newark and United States are serving county jail and prison time because of bogus and false police reports. What if that was you, your son, daughter or loved one? 

Let’s Fight to Make Sure NPD Officer DeKampos is relieved of his duties and held accountable legally for his delirious actions.
