We have recently found out about the demolition of the Eden arms hotel. This can’t happen! Surely this historic building which is a major land mark on our local area, can be re~purposed and utilised in a better and more economical way than just knocking it to the ground. This hotel was in the hands of the Eden family from the time of queen elizabeth 1st, it was a POW camp and a refugee centre. Sir Anthony Eden was part of this family who was born at windlestone in 1897 and was prime minister from 1955-1957. This is our history!!
