Mazzoni Center: Supporting Staff Call To Action!

I visited Mazzoni many years ago and left minutes into my initial visit, because the white man in a white doctor's lab coat and totally fake, forced grin turned me off so much I felt completely strange and that I wouldn't be treated well there. I have since used and stayed at several other health centers and have never returned to Mazzoni. Now, I am surprised to see there was and is so much negativity going on in the administration. The fact that Philly has so much racism within the queer community (and by queer I mean LGBTQIA) that folks felt the need to add black and brown stripes to the pride flag, and that Amber Dikes has spearheaded a program to train queer people of color for board directorships means this issue is a major one that needs to be fixed NOW.
I like the saying, "No one is free until everyone is free." Whites aren't winning in a situation where people of color suffer, the same way that straight people don't win when queer folks are denied our fair share of opportunities and services.
I am signing this petition to help turn this around, and it seems that Mazzoni is one of the first places to start.
