Harlech speed limit is 30mph, no matter if you’re local, visiting or just passing through. So why is it more like a race track!
it’s an area with children out playing, older generation going about their daily activities, whether popping to the local shops or drs but at the moment the speed of vehicles has been horrendous.

Overtaking through Harlech has been the worst I have seen it for some years, with cars not giving a second thought to any pedestrians or children playing. 

The need to place speed reduction mechanisms is required for the safety of the community, visitors and road users. 

Arrive Alive is in the area every now and again, but it’s not a deterrent, it needs to be a permanent fixture in place. Double white lines to stop overtaking, flashing 30mph signs, zebra crossings…….the list of choice is too long to write. But SOMETHING needs to be done before someone is seriously injured. 

Pro-active approach is better than Reactive!
