Keep the Pier Queer!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
Hi I’m from F.I.E.R.C.E, we are asking you to sign and support homeless QTGNC (queer, trans and gender non conforming) youth access to the West Village Pier. In other words we are asking for your support to create a 24-hour drop-in center. The area has been the gathering place for homeless QTGNC youth since the 1970’s. In 2003, after the opening of the Hudson River Park Trust (HRPT) New Greenwich Village pier, homeless black and brown QTGNC youth were no longer welcome. F.I.E.R.C.E has been organizing QTGNC youth of color to fight for more resources throughout the city, but we would now appreciate your support and signature to push for a 24-hour drop-in center. We're queer and we're still here.
