Commonlit negatively impacts students at EVERY school it is integrated for use to "educate" the children. Commonlit causes students to feel stressed, overwhelmed, and almost never actually causes any students to gain any relevant knowledge after completing the assigned article. This website gives teachers a way to "teach" without actually teaching their students anything, which should never be allowed. The whole point of school is for students to learn practical and necessary knowledge that will benefit them in life. 

Have you ever felt so overwhelmed that you just want to stop what you are doing and quit for good? That is how us students feel when we are forced to complete Commonlit articles. They cause us insane stress, especially due to the unrelatable questions and information provided. Some of the content isn't meant for certain age groups, yet it is still made available. 

By banning the organization Commonlit from being used in schools, students will be able to obtain a deep knowledge of the materials that are meant to be taught. This will happen because the teachers will then have to find new ways to teach, which will hopefully be ways that will benefit their students. This is why Commonlit should be banned as a resource for teachers forever.
