March for Justice Ireland is asking for your help with this petition to bring in CoCo`s law.
Nicole (CoCo) Fox was a beautiful young lady who tragically took her life at the age of 21 after suffering over three years of relentless bullying online and in person. Her mother Jackie Fox has worked tirelessly since losing her beloved daughter to bring in CoCo`s Law, please take the time to read Jackie's words below and sign this petition.
I started coco's law after my daughter Nicole was abused physically, tormented and tortured online by so-called friends. Nicole took her own life on the 20th of January 2018 because she couldn't see past another day of bullying. When the guards came to me they said it wasn't a criminal offense to bully people online because there was no law in place, I had numerous meetings in the Dáil with various parties, protests, and a march through Dublin to highlight the importance of a badly needed law. I finally found Brendan Howlin who drafted up a law called the harmful harassment communications related act also known as CoCo's law, this law is in the equality of justice committee at the moment which is stage 3, when passed it will be a criminal offense to repeatedly bully anyone including people in the workplace.
