There are many cosmetic and beauty companies that continue to test their products on animals before selling. Cosmetic testing on animals is typically done to test the safety and hypoallergenic properties of said product for human use. The FDA does not necessarily state whether this type of testing is animal abuse or not, but many advocates such as PETA have tried to raise awareness in stopping animal testing. The purpose of this petition is to spread awareness that animals are still being tested on by companies in order to rule of safety concerns of their product prior to selling for human use. Animals are being exposed to substances and chemicals, powders, oils, and more that could potentially irritate, harm, or kill them. This should not still occur, and there should be a different alternative to product testing besides using animals.
