I am hereby requesting , due to President Trump's history of false and misleading statements, that The Commission on Presidential Debates engage live fact-checkers from across the political spectrum to check statements by BOTH presumptive nominees.

The American People deserve to know the truth of what is being stated as fact during the Presidential debates. I don't care which candidate makes a statement or claim. If something is found to be untrue, it should be labeled as such. If a claim is found to be true, it should be labeled as such, and if a claim is unable to be verified or disproved, it should be labeled as such.

Anyone who objects to fact checking by independent fact checkers is most likely going to be found making misleading or false statements. To paraphrase an old saying, if you aren't lying, you don't need to be afraid of Fact-Checkers. You especially don't need to worry if the fact-checkers are drawn from across the political spectrum to reduce political differences.

The only thing I would want to see is an oath from every fact-checker to disregard party  / candidate loyalty and just verify the facts

The American people deserve to know whether the presumptive nominees are, in fact, truthful or deceitful. We deserve to have someone TRUTHFUL in the White House
